Ghostbusters 3 Looks 'Doubtful'
Actress and star of the original Ghostbusters movies Sigourney Weaver had cast doubt over the new Ghostbusters 3project.
The new project was announced back in August by Dan Aykroyd and it was said to be going into production during 2012, which is quite exciting for all those fans who have waited years for a new Ghostbuster outing.
Weaver to however told Coming Soon that she has read the script but also added, “I’ve had a couple of calls and I know they’re rewriting. All I said was that I hope my son Oscar has grown up to be a Ghostbuster and Ivan Reitman said yes. Beyond that I have no idea. I hope it comes together, but we already did two wonderful films and if we have to let this one go, that’s fine.”
Whether she would be staring in the film or not has not been confirmed by the actress, but hopefully she will sign on if the script is right. I mean she has already signed on for the next Avatar movie, so why not another Ghostbusters one.
Only time will tell with this one, but hopefully she’ll see the light.
Lindsay Pulsipher Joins Bonnie & Clyde
After numerous ups and downs it looked as though Bonnie & Clyde may end up on the shelf like many other movies, but not now.
After financial delays and scheduling conflicts hitting the project, and then the huge set back of Hilary Duff having to pull out due to pregnancy it looks as though the film is back on track slightly as Lindsay Pulsipher has stepped in to take over the role of Bonnie.
The film which has been written by Tonya S Holly is hopefully going to start shooting by the end of the year, and she seems excited about the new casting say, “We are thrilled to welcome Lindsay Pulsipher as Bonnie Parker in The Story of Bonnie and Clyde. Lindsay will undoubtedly bring many layers to this critical role. This is a gripping story about two of the most legendary fugitives in history."
However the film is still in a slight turmoil as Kevin Zegers who was supposed to be playing the role of Clyde has had to pull out due to scheduling conflicts, so they need to hurry and get someone else, especially if they want to start shooting soon.
It looks a though things aren’t completely on track for this film, but it’s starting to get better.
Ice Cube Still Working on NWA Biopic
After almost a year since the announcement that he was going to produce a biopic of his erstwhile NWA crew, news has surfaced that John Singleton is in talks to direct.
Although nothing is set in stone at the moment Singleton has previously worked with Ice Cube on the movie Boyz N the Hood, so they have worked together previously, so assuming that all went to plan behind the scenes then I can’t see any reason why he wouldn’t put pen to paper and sign up to direct.
The film Straight Outta Compton was last known to be in the hands of Andrea Berloff, who wrote World Trade Centre, but this has apparently changed and it is now in the hands of S Leigh Savidge and Alan Wenkus.
Since the film has been in production for over a year and has only just announced that it is finally in discussion with a director, there has been no mention of casting yet so that should be interesting. I’m guessing a young up and coming rapper will take the lead in this one, but only time will tell.
